Tim Wilson

[two_third]Tim Wilson completed a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) and Construction Management
(Honours) at Deakin University. He has worked with various architectural practices over the
past 14 years and gained experience in the delivery of a wide variety of projects from high
end residential to civic and commercial developments.
In 2001 Tim was awarded an internship with Gabriel Poole Architects, Queensland, where
he developed a passion for sustainable and well resolved architectural outcomes specific to
their local climatic conditions and typically coastal settings. While studying he also gained
experience working with leading property development and construction group Becton
assisting on large-scale residential and mixed community public, social and private housing
projects including the Department of Human Services Kensington Redevelopment.
From 2005-07, Tim worked with Rossetti Architects in Melbourne. During this time he ran
various private and commercial projects that focused on understated cost effective design
solutions being carried through all project stages, from schematic design to construction
detailing and completion.
Tim relocated to the UK in 2007 taking up a position with Denton Corker Marshall in their
London office. During this time he worked on significant high profile international projects
including the 2012 London Olympic athletes accommodation and the Stonehenge Visitors
Centre. Upon his return to Melbourne he resumed working at Craig Rossetti Architects as a
Senior Architect and co-founded Folk Architects with long-standing friend Christie Petsinis
in 2011.
Tim Wilson’s knowledge of construction processes and technologies combined with a
fastidious capacity for review of documentation drawings is paramount to Folk’s execution
of high quality built forms. His experience of construction management and work with
several design and construction companies has enabled Tim to develop a patient approach
to solving problems, facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue to maintain positive working
relationships and collaborative spirit to optimise efficiency and deliver best for project
outcomes.
